A Titan, father of Atlas, Prometheus and Epimetheus.

The son of Poseidon, but said to be the son of Aphareus, twin brother of Lynceus. He was in love with Marpessa and carried her off in a chariot given to him by Poseidon. Apollo was also in love with Marpessa and the two fought each other until Zeus separated them, and Marpessa chose to go with Idas. With his brother he took part in the hunt for the Calydonian Boar and the Argonauts expedition. They were both killed in a battle with the Dioscuri.

The daughter of Cadmus and Harmonia. Athamus, King of Orchomenus secretly loved her but was married to Nephele. Her children by Athamus were Learchus and Melicertes. See the story of Helle and Phrixus. She and Athamus looked after the young Dionysus for a time in Boeotia.

The oldest son of Iphicles, he accompanied his uncle Heracles as a charioteer and companion on his twelve labors. It is said that Heracles' gave his wife, Megara to Iolaus after the labors. Iolaus then traveled to Sardinia with Heracles' sons where they settled. Later Heracles' children were persecuted by Eurystheus, but he was eventually killed by either Iolaus or Hyllus.

The daughter of Eurytus, King of Oechalia. Heracles loved her and was promised her after he won a shooting competition with her brothers. However Eurytus refused to give her to him. Many years later Heracles returned, killed her father and brothers and Iole was sent to Deianeira, his wife. She was however was fearful that Iole would steal Heracles from her and attempted to use magic to keep Heracles. However she had been misled by the centaur who gave her the potion and Heracles died.

The daughter of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra. She was sacrificed by Agamemnon in order to appease Artemis and obtain good winds to sail to Troy. In Euripides' Iphigenia Among the Taurians she is found by her brother Orestes having been rescued from death by Artemis to be her priestess at Tauris. She rescued Orestes and Pylades from sacrifice and returned with them Mycenæ.

The son Eurytus. When Eurytus refused to allow Heracles to marry his daughter, Iole, Iphitus was the only son who did not agree with him. However when he appeared suspicious of Heracles the hero killed him in a fit of rage.

Daughter of Oedipus and Jocasta, sister of Eteocles, Polyneices and Antigone. She went into exile with her father and sister, but returned to Thebes and acted as a confidant to Antigone during Sophocles' Antigone.
