Thanks to the power of a dvd rental subscription I can now watch a couple of movies each week without bankrupting myself. It also means that I can finally tick off a lot of the older classic films that everyone says I should watch but I don't necessarily want to watch. Sometimes I'm happily surprised, other times I just don't understand what everyone is on about.
I've seen 109 films so far this year.

Tom Hank's first Oscar nomination and well deserved for managing to convey a kid in a mans body. A concept used multiple times, but I've never seen another film do it better. The piano playing in the department store is classic.
