Written Oct 1999 for the icsf newsletter while I was living in the icsf flat with a handful of then committee members, watching as they played Magic the Gathering.

I was asked to write something for the icsf fanzine in February 2000, unfortunately the following drabble was the result.

My response to a distressingly cheerful, perky and positive and meme I got sent. I wasn't convinced by their suggestions for how to improve my life.

I was intrigued by a discussion of whether recent years had been "golden years" for science fiction on television and if they were coming to an end. I decided to actually work out some numbers and do some investigating.

This was written while I  was building and managing sites for a number of different people several years ago, the rules all still apply!
